River’s Wild

4 day Rafting trip with 20 women. I believe I am a changed person forever. I have never experienced anything like that trip in my life. It was very appropriately named. Into the wild. I felt things that I had never felt before. I felt so much love so much pain. At times, I was feeling so strong, so weak, so scared, so much joy. I cried so many times. This trip for me went deep into my soul, somewhere I have never been. I believed I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I learned so much from every woman who was there. We were a perfect group. Now, I truly know what a spiritual journey is. I would recommend any women who wants to empower themselves to become a better person by learning to listen to their inner voice and believe me Melanie will help get you there.

There are so many moments reflecting on the river, and what it has brought to me. The metaphors were uncomfortable, reassuring, and trusting. 6 months later, I keep getting pieces to the puzzle of what the River brought to my life: surrender, let go, just be me, set boundaries, know that I am safe within them, release illusions, disconnect, just do me! The flow of the river that is embedded within me now with a constant reminder that boundaries are all around me & something greater is able to keep me on a direction even if I don’t know the destination. If only I knew, then what I knew now: I would dive a little deeper, embrace the silence, hug everyone a little bit tighter, & go into that waterfall as many times as I possibly could! The connection of surrender to the earth has become my daily practice as the metaphors keep giving. I can still close my eyes & hear Melanie’s voice reminding me to embrace life. I now know: I am here to be a river. I highly recommend this trip for everyone!

My life has been impacted in so many ways working with Melanie Joy during this 12 week virtual village container and our women retreat to Peru. The speakers she has brought into workshops brought new ways of perceiving life challenges from Journaling to sister circles to Melanie's own passion Maiden to Mother Masterclass. She leads from the heart with her wisdom & experience. She holds beautiful space with presence & warmth. I always felt allowance to share my deepest expressions. I feel grounded and energized in her connection. I have a greater understanding & inner-standing of my true self, my lineage & patterns. The skills I have learned are invaluable & present with me on my journey. Melanie is an invaluable leader on Women's Rights of Passage. Her PsychoSomatic curriculum woven in with her knowledge, wisdom, philosophies and engaging practicums create a beautiful experience in her poetic articulation of it all. Peru absolutely changed my life and I would highly recommend any retreat she holds in the future!

We had the pleasure of being led by Melanie through a bachelorette-themed experience, that kicked off our weekend with intention and good energy. We started off with a mandala, which was a beautiful experience, that helped us feel grounded and present. The most powerful part was our breathwork meditation, and share circle at the end. Melanie is gracious, kind hosts, who helped guide and made us feel comfortable and in a safe space. This was a magical experience, I would recommend to any group of women who want to connect with their inner-selves and each other! I started working with Melanie at a huge transitional period of my life, and at the time I was very new to the Maiden Mother Journey work. It was such a powerful experience to navigate through that journey with Melanie guiding me so beautifully, and also seeing that journey unfold in my real life simultaneously. The shifts I have seen in myself, my business, and my life path since doing that work have been profound and undeniable. Melanie held so much space for me and created such a safe container for me to go through an entire rebirthing process. I will definitely work with Melanie again in the future, and encourage anyone who is curious about doing this work to go for it!

I've had the pleasure of working with Melanie since the beginning of 2023. In that time I have learned many tools and ideas that have formed much of my personal growth already and will continue to inform my transformation over the years. WOW! What an incredible experience in Sedona. Melanie is deeply tapped into what women struggle with alchemizing in the modern world. She explained my own personal experience through a depth of knowledge, storytelling, archetypes, and initiatory practices that deeply helped me to understand a lot of what I'm going through as a mother. I'm in my mid 40's and through the structure of her insights and understanding, I have been able to have a better relationship with this phase of life. Aging gracefully is rarely talked about, much less aging INTO empowerment as a woman. The entire experience was beautiful, emotional, and a perfect balance of raw truth and gentle presence. I highly recommend this experience. I imagine it would be incredible for both younger women seeking direction and meaning, as well as women older than myself in the "what next" phase of life. I KNOW that it was profoundly meaningful to me in my "mid-life", giving me clarity at a time when many of my identities have a powerful hold on me while simultaneously, I have the desire to change and be MORE, and feel more freedom.
